Vocational Outplacement Services

The Archer mentor working with the client blends technology with a distinctive human touch to customize all of our services .  The mentor is dedicated to success by taking careers to the next level, and by developing new opportunities.  The client will receive a personalized set of weekly job leads.

Mentors

Each client is assigned a mentor when they register for the service.  Our mentors  are trained counselors who have extensive backgrounds in placement and career services. Our counselors who offer a wide range of career services based on the client’s needs.  They assist in setting realistic  goals by identifying possible opportunities, uncover and help resolve obstacles in the job search, offer professional referrals with personalized guidance and support through each step of the outplacement process.

Upon registration, the mentor contacts the client by phone in order to learn about them and to explain the program.  The mentor and the client together develop the strategies and action plans to help the client launch their career search,  to meet their goals and obtain a meaningful and suitable job.

The Vocational Assessment determines the potential for alternate work and job opportunities by identifying the client’s transferable skills and potentials.

Job-seeking skills training provide client’s with the necessary tools to identify appropriate job openings and to compete successfully with other job seekers to secure jobs.  Under the direction of our mentors, clients are taught how to appropriately fill out an employment application, respond to questions regarding sensitive issues and previous work history,  obtain job interviews through telephone and other techniques, dress appropriately, interview effectively for a position and follow up effectively after interviews with employers.

Mentors conduct mock phone and in person interviews which provide valuable advice and obtain feedback. By participating in the mock interview process, clients can gain confidence in themselves and obtain the skills needed to obtain a job.

Professional Resume Development

Archer’s team of experts will develop the most appropriate resume for each client. This allows us to pair a knowledgeable resume writer, someone who has experience writing effective resumes in that particular field with each client. Every resume is a custom resume because every client and every job offer are different.

Each client will receive a package including a custom resume, cover letter, thank you letter, and one page bio ideal for loading on social networks. Our team will ensure that the client’s resume has the key words that will catch the attention of the hiring recruiter and managers.

Leads

Each client receives a personalized set of weekly job leads based on their job objectives in order to select job openings which meet their needs, objectives, and match their preferences.

The mentor’s job market survey is the Archer program utilized to develop relevant job leads which are proactively found across the internet – job boards, corporate websites, niche jobs boards, career sites, recruiter sites, etc. – and sent to each client.  The jobs are sent to their personal account, created for them on our web portal.

Social Media Guidance

Online and offline tools are available to assist clients in networking, an important aspect of the job search.  We help our clients enroll in social networks such as LinkedIn and Facebook.  We can provide useful tips to jump-start their networking efforts-arming them with the latest and greatest tools available.  We’ll identify the networks that are the most applicable for each client based on their job role and/or industry.

In addition to online networking mentors also identify offline networking opportunities.  Relevant networking groups, related organizations, and local events are used.  The Archer Career Content resources include educational webinars and certification programs which can be utilized to help the client in their next job and to progress in their career.  Whether the client is trying to learn a new trade or just sharpen their skills, the outplacement program provides you the opportunities to advance and enhance client satisfaction.
